On Saturday I went with Thomas, Liam, and Dan to Winchester for Jessica's party. When we arrived we went upstairs to pick out a game to play. We just chose Scruples, without really knowing what it was. Which is why it took us forever to even figure out how to play the game. We played for real for a little while, but then we got bored and just read out the funny questions.
After that it started getting dark out, so we drove to the park down the road and went sledding down the big hill. Jess and I only went down once or twice, but Liam and Thomas and Dan were going crazy. Actually, Liam was really daring.
Eventually we got cold, wet, and hungry and went back to Jessica's house for pizza. After we got back, Cassidy showed up. While we ate, we attempted to play The DaVinci Code board game with very little success. We were all so confused. So after eating we watched an episode of Big Bang Theory, which was pretty funny, and then we watched The Producers. So now I am singing all the music from that.
So that was pretty fun, and I didn't get home until about 12:20 AM.

Sunday was work, and I mixed a bagillion cans of paint for people.

Today is Family Day, some random holiday someone made up.

Last night Thomas, Mum, Helen, Paul, Robert, Robert's friend Justin, and I went out for dinner and a movie.
We went to see Sweeney Todd, which was much bloodier than I expected it to be.
I had a great time with Thomas, Robert, and Justin. Justin is hilarious. And basically Rob had the best moment all night.
Three of us are walking past a La Senza store. There is a giant poster of a girl wearing a bra and undies.
Robert: THATS NOT A SHIRT!

Today I worked 8:30 until 2pm. It was nice to get off work early. I bought some things for Thomas's birthday today. He's coming over later and we're going to watch the Nanny Diaries.

Thanks to Rob, I also just discovered how to use Speech Recognition on Vista. It is really angering, because my computer seems to have a speech impediment, but it's so much fun!

So, the weirdest thing ever happened yesterday at work.

Background Information: My boss, Blair, rents out the 2nd floor of the store as an apartment to a lady.

Okay, so I'm hanging out at the front cash because I'm booooored out of my mind. And this police officer walks in. I'm a little surprised, but we get them in sometimes to buy stuff.
Anyway, he asks me if I know how to get into the apartment upstairs. I wasn't sure, so I go looking for Blair to ask him. Of course, he's nowhere to be found. I tell the officer that there is a door on the side that might be the way in. Just as he goes to leave, Blair comes down and tells the officer, that yes, that is the way up, but tells him that there is no one home.
The officer then tells us that he just got a 911 call from there o_o
So they go outside. I go back up front.
Another officer comes in asking if someone had come in, and I tell him yes and he goes to the side too. They all go upstairs, and I can hear them walking around for a little while. Then they come back down and the officers go to hang out on the roadside.
I go ask Blair if anyone was home...He says no.
So I'm like....How could they get a 911 call if NO ONE WAS HOME!?!!?!
wtf.

So that was interesting...

Anyway, then Mum, Bonnie (friend), and Uta (student/mum's coworker), and I went out to dinner at The Garden of Eat'n. The food was pretty good but it took foreveerrrrr!!!!! I also saw Nicole from art/philosophy class which was odd o_0

And then I had work all day today too. It actually was busier than I expected but no one came in for the last hour. Nobody. At all. It was completely dead.

And I finished watching BBC's 2005 Bleak House miniseries!
It was excellent! I love all the characters! Well, the loveable ones anyway. They guy who played Taulkinghorn was excellent; I hated him very much.

Oh, and it's randomly extremely hot and humid here and I am dieing.

On Friday evening, after work, Alisha came to pick me up and take me to her house for a sleepover. It's her birthday next Friday (the 24th), so we're celebrating. She's going to be away for her actual birthday.

Anyway, at Alisha's house Kaitlyn and Tanicia were waiting downstairs. We spent the night inside, eating pizza, drinking Pepsi, and watching Disney movies. We were going to go to the South Mountain Fair, but decided to go on Saturday instead because of the rain.

Finally, we decided to go to bed, because I had to work the next morning. We were sleeping outside Alisha's door in a tent. We brought out 7 blankets and 2 mattresses. Turns out 7 blankets was definitely NOT enough to keep us warm in the rain, wind, and 10 degree weather. SO COLD. We all nearly froze to death that night!

So at 7 am the next morning we all ran inside to be warm. Ahhhh, so nice! I got ready for work and ate a grilled cheese for breakfast. Then Alisha's dad drove me to work.

Work was pretty boring, but James makes it fun. It's been slower, now that the construction is right on our doorstep.

After work, I went home and Alisha picked me up at 6. We ate supper at her house (pork shishkabobs) and then her dad drove us to South Mountain for the fair. The fair was pretty fun, but the rides were a little disturbing. We went on one that spins you around so fast that you are pushed against the back (you know, that one...) and I was concerned by the fact that the ride was MADE FROM WOOD. It was old school. Tanicia and I also went into a fun house, where you had to make your way through a maze of mirrors and glass. So confusing! We were led by some little kid; it was pretty funny. And of course, we went on the Scrambler. Kaitlyn didn't go on ANY rides because she's weird like that. Oh, and we tried to get on the merry-go-round, but apparently we were too old :(

AND I ATE A FRIED MARS BAR. OMG. It was funny, it had a little arm of batter sticking out, and Kaitlyn was like, "If there are organs inside, don't eat it." and the guy running the stand was like, "Yeah, that was taking it a bit too far." XD! Anyway, it wasn't very good because it was basically just melted chocolate in dough AKA heart attack on a stick. But I've satisfied my curiosity.

And then we discovered the games. And Kaitlyn, being crazy and the Master Marksman, went obsessive with the pellet gun game and didn't stop until she won a big green dinosaur. I played twice and won a smaller purple dinosaur. I also won a little kangaroo, but I gave it to Tanicia. Yay, I shot a (fake) gun :D!

So that was fun. And we brought out 11 blankets for our second night outside and that was much better.

Sunday at work was sooo boring. Blair doesn't even bother coming in because it's that slow and I guess he trusts us to run the store. We made like 500$ that day (very sad).

Anyway, I was supposed to work 11-2 today, but I felt like complete crap when I came in and Robin and James yelled at me until I agreed to go home. I felt kind of bad about not working, especially since it was the last time I would see James (I LOVE YOU JAMES!!!! XD), but I went home and slept and I feel much better now.

I watched some episodes of BBC's Bleak House today. I like it a lot! Excellent acting for an excellent story.

So that's pretty much what I've been up to lately. I'm excited for school to start, which is September 4th. I am so bored and I can't wait to be a Senior!

So last night I got coerced into babysitting Corlina's little kiddo, Nicolas.
Yep, so I went to do that today and I basically followed the little guy around. He was pretty cute. There was Corlina, Allison, and two random guys there helping to set up for the BBRM launch.
Aand then it started raining, which was lovely.
And then we all drove over to the barn so they could clean that up a bit and I ended up getting home around noon.
Fun times.

Later today I've got a chiropractor appointment (THANK THE LORD!) and then mum and I are going shopping for when Phoebe comes! :)
SPEAKING OF WHICH, PHOEBE COMES IN ONE DAY!!!!!
Yay! I'm kind of annoyed that I agreed to work all day Friday, but whatever. (I can't say no :P)
I get the weekend off!
AND UCV IS LIKE...SOON!!!!

Exciting times are ahead.

Yes, I haven't really updated for a whileeee....

Well, last Tuesday I went to Guelph to use up my train tickets/visit friends.
Spent Tuesday and most of Wednesday with Amy...Doing nothing XD
We are lazy.

Then I went to Phoebe's on Wednesday evening, spent Thursday there (YAY SHOPPING!!!), and was supposed to leave Friday morning....
Yeah, that didn't happen.
Some aboriginals were angry about land disputes or something, and decided to block the train tracks...Thanks, guys.
So I was stranded in Guelph until Saturday morning and as such I missed Friday and Saturday work.
I was happy that Blair didn't kill me or anything, though.

Then Sunday was CANADA DAAAAY!!!!!!!
Mum had volunteered me to help with the cotton candy, but then the cotton candy machine broke. So I ended up being the "official" photographer. Which was fun! I liked it a lot. I hope I got some good shots.
Anyway, here's a picture of the fireworks!!
(My favourite one)

So last night mum and I went to an SCA meeting/small gathering thing.
Actually there was 6 of us, including me and mum. *ahem*
Anyway, that was because of the ren faire thing mum is wanting to put on. I think it will be sooo awesome :)

Coming up on my schedule is my driver's test on the 17th (eeeeeekkk!!!!) and then UCV starts on the 21st!! YAYYY!! :D

Internet has temporarily decided to work! Here's Saturday:

I was so tired from last night that I slept in a bit this morning. Luckily I wasn’t really late for work.
It wasn’t bad in the morning; there were a fair amount of customers. Then around 11 or so all these people and guys in army uniforms started gathering across the road at the high school. It turns out there was a ceremony for Private Blake Williamson who died in Iraq and they were going to put his name on the senatat memorial thing. There were bagpipes! Anyway all these people gathered and the road was closed and we all (Me, Blair, Mary Jane, and James) stood out on the front porch and watched the whole thing. It was about an hour long. It was a nice break from work! :P But, no, it was a nice ceremony. Blake’s mum even made a little speech.
Then I went home for my lunch break and was bored for an hour. Still no internet.
Went back to work and was bored out of my mind for the rest of the day. There were a few customers in the early afternoon, but by 4 pm there was NO ONE. Downtown was dead. Honestly, no one came in the store for an hour. So Blair told us stories about Kemptville.
1. Every house in Kemptville had an outside oven, an outhouse, and a little place where they buried garbage. Kemptville didn’t have plumbing for 100 years.
2. When Blair’s sister was 6, she was playing over at the Duel’s house with their kids. Then the mum came downstairs and told her, “You have to go home now, my father’s dead.” Turns out Mrs. Duel’s father had died upstairs.
3. Some druggie kid stabbed these two boys, one of which was a Hill boy. Apparently EVERYONE knew the Hills. Like it does, word that these two boys were stabbed spread like wildfire. The guy who stabbed them ended up being chased all over town by a huge mob. Someone actually chased him across the front lawn of the high school in their car. Eventually he had to call up the police by breaking into someone’s house and begging them to keep him alive.
4. The guy who originally lived in our store was actually a hardware baron. He sold hardware. Meaning that the building has been involved in the hardware business for a LOOOONG time. (Blair inherited the store from his father).
5. Also, James still has the 1905 original deed for his house. Turns out the neighbours are living in his barn :P
I love when Blair tells us all these cool stories. Makes me wish I had lived in Kemptville before it was bigger. HAPPY 150th KEMPTVILLE!!!

Okay, Friday!
Friday was pretty good, it was very hot outside!
Classes were back to normal schedule, so I had Art first.
Ummm, at lunch we went to Broadway's and I had an oreo milkshake and shared some cheesesticks with Kaitlyn.
Religion was odd...Mrs. Mac started crying and I felt so bad...I don't know why she was crying, though :(

Then I went to work, which was slow and boring. Stopped at the Post Office afterwards, but there was nothing.
Came home and started getting ready to go to Thomas's house when his dad called and offered to pick me up on his way to pick Thomas up from work. Turns out Thomas was way behind at work, so Paul and I went back to the house and made the pizza for supper. Then Thomas came home and we went outside and had a swim...while listening to Techno.
Got kind of cold, so we went inside and ate supper.
Afterwards we hung out on the couch and watched some TV. BOB BARKER'S LAST EPISODE OF PRICE IS RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!! I was so sad :(
Then Helen, Rob, and Cassie's parents came over but we ignored them :P
When they left we all watched the movie Blue Streak. It was really funny :3
Then me and Thomas and Paul went out to watch the fireflies and then Thomas hugged me and then I went home o_o
Aaaand, I forgot my hairbrush at their house :/

Anyway, off to work for me!

So, exam!

Went alright, I think. Maybe a 70-something%. It was actually easier than I thought. It was only 3 pages >_<
The first part was listening comprehension. Just circling the right answers. Then there was a grammar section which was 5 or so sentences where you had to put in the right particals o__o. Evil section.
Then there was a section on counter nouns (Which I all got! Surprisingly.) and adjectives.
Then we had to translate a couple paragraphs of Japanese into English. Which was soo hard @_@; Honestly, I guessed on half the sentences. Kanji + major Katakana = Evil.
Lastly we had to write a paragraph in Japanese and chose to write about myself (read: the easier option).

So yeah! Then we practiced the song again and got out early at 11:20.
So mum and I went shopping again XD
I managed to find some boardshorts that will hopefully match my top. Eek >_<
And I also bought 2 graphic tees.
Then I finally got a pair of shorts.
Mum bought a shirt and a jacket and now owes me 72$.

Then work, which was busy and tiring and gjknleefmsdklfd. Like 10 people came in at 5:28. I was like T___T TRYING TO CLOSE HERE GO AWAY.
Blah.

So the new guy started work today!
His name is James (I think) and he is studying engineering at McMaster :)
He's pretty nice, but kind of meepy. He's a bit on the wimpy side. I just can't see him putting together barbeques or getting his hands dirty. But then again I couldn't see myself doing that at the beginning.
Anyway, he's nice and I'd rather have him than some cocky bastard :/

Also, Why I Love My Job, Part III

Old Man: *Walks into store*
Me and Blair: *Bringing in large bags of bird seed*
Old Man: Wow, what strong young ladies!
Me: Blair, that man just called you a strong young lady!
Blair: Well I guess some people just have the ability to see deep inside me.
Me: Aha.
Blair: Actually, I'm not just a strong young lady, I'm A STRONG, SEXY LADY!!
Me: *Hides face in shame*
Blair: What? That's alright, isn't it?
Me: Uhuh...

ROFL at Nihongogakkou.
Today at Japanese we had to sing the song Sakura by Kobukuro and wow we were amazing :P
Even Sensei was laughing at our awesome singing. It went something like this:
"SAKURA NO HANABI WO LALALALALALA ITSUMO LALALALALA ASUFARUTO" And then we all broke into giggles at "asufaruto". Which actually means asphalt.

Then at work it was SO BUSY. Geeze.
And I bet it gets worse in the summer too.
Also, Blair hired someone else!!! A BOY.
And he's working weekends :P (No, it's not Thomas)

After work, I am getting my sweater from the staircase. I have left my purse on the cart-thinger.
I come out of the staircase and my purse is mysteriously missing. Blair looks mighty guilty.
Me: Give it back.
Blair: *ignores*
Me: Give back my purse!
Blair: What? What purse?
Me: C'mon, that's not nice! Give it back!
Blair *runs out through the back door and outside*
Me: *runs after*
Blair: *throws purse in the back of Robin's MOVING TRUCK*

Grrr!!! Thankfully Robin is not a total retard like Blair and stopped the truck so I could fish out my purse.
Loser >_>

Just in case anyone cared, my feet are dieing.
Why did I volunteer to work all day today? WHY.

Oh, right.

Bigger paycheck XD
Which means more money for Japan/Potential New York Trip.

OH YEAH
I don't remember if I wrote about it already or not, but Mrs. Girard is actually seriously planning a New York trip. HECK YES.
If it's not too expensive, I am so going. New York + Art class = amazing.
Those people (read: Dustin and his beavers) rock my day.

Umm, Mum's out of town to Massachusetts this weekend doing horseshow stuffs. She's coming back late tonight and then leaving again on Tuesday or Wednesday or something for Guelph. Then she's gone for 2 or 3 weeks doing who-knows-what.
But Ellen (random student person who is cool and lives in Ottawa) is looking after me and Mary Jane and Helen/Thomas/Paul are too :)
I have apparently been invited over for supper with Helen/Paul/Thomas? Yay?
Speaking of which, they came in to work today XD
And then Thomas stayed and entertained me for like 1/2 an hour o_o
He was "going to ask Blair about the job he applied for".
*cough*

Also! KYMTC's september musical is called something like "A Walk Down Broadway" and it's comprised of a bunch of songs from all different musicals.
"Featuring songs from Les Miserables, Moulin Rouge, Rent, Hunchback of Notredame, Wicked, Hairspray, The Aristocats, Phantom of the Opera, Chicago, You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown, The Little Mermaid."
It should be neat. I'm going to try and get Kaitlyn to get me a job backstage. I really want to be a bigger part of the show. Oh, how I wish I could sing D:

Umm, called up Nathan the other day. :)
It felt good to talk with one a friend from "the old home". I miss Ohio a lot.
I am glad I came here, because I've grown up a lot, changed a lot, gained lots of insight, and started to create my own philosophy (I LOVE YOU MRS DAVIS) and I have a life. I have a job, I am planning an exchange, I take driver's ed. I have gained confidence. I am happy with myself.
But I don't need to stay here now. I understand it was an important part of my life to come here, but I also understand that I felt the most at home in Ohio. It's weird, because I'm Canadian, but when I'm in America I feel home.
Also, I'm idealistic and live in the 19th century.

BUT NEVERMIND THAT.

So I guess that's it for now, since I've run out of things to say :P

Oh, I've been watching some Firefly lately because I am lacking in a power cord currently, so I really shouldn't be using up my precious computer battery, but I have re-realised my love for Firefly. Also, commentary rocks.
