so yesterday, asumi, mum, and i went on a shopping extravaganza in ottawa.

we started out at ikea, then proceeded to eat lunch at a japanese restaurant, then stopped at rona, and then went to south keys.

at south keys, we went to chapters, globo, winners, walmart, and saw revolutionary road in the cinema.

at chapters, i was browsing the terry prachett section of the fantasy aisle when this guy comes up beside me. he goes, "wow! every geek's dream - a girl in the fantasy section!"
so i'm like, "err....hahaha *nervous laugh*" and start blushing. then the guy continues going off about this book he was looking for and then informs me when he found it two minutes later and asks me if i've ever heard of it. "noo..."
feeling awkward, i left and found refuge in the bargain cooking section. when all of a sudden i hear a familiar voice behind me: "you like cooking too?!" yeah, it was that guy.
"yess..." i say. he then starts showing me pictures of steak, mentions his desire for summer and bbqs, and then gets all excited about 101 ways to cook pasta.
i run away again, since this guy clearly has something for me.
i go and find asumi, in the music section. i start talking to her, pause, look over, AND THAT GUY IS STANDING BESIDE ASUMI. WTF.
"you're following me!" he says. "noo...you're following me!" i laugh nervously. "oh, you wish i was." he states.
then i REALLY run away, find my mother, and inform her we're leaving. now. because creepy guy is stalking me just a liiiittle too much.

so that was my excitement for the day, ha...

in other news, revolutionary road was, albeit depressing, a pretty good movie. leo dicaprio's not too shabby, really...

So I've FINALLY watched Becoming Jane.
I heard some not so good things about it, so I hesitated in seeing it.
But then I figured I might as well see how I like it myself.

Anyway, I didn't think it was that awful.
I didn't like how it was all about Pride & Prejudice but I looooooved the cast so much. Julie Walters, James Cromwell (BABE!!!!), and MAGGIE SMITH. That was a surprise. It was sooo weird to see her in period costume. James McAvoy and Anne Hathaway were "ehhhhh" in my opinion. Well, I don't really like Anne Hathaway anyway.

P.S. THE CONVENTIONEERS ARE MY HEROES!!!! XDD
Today I watched the one where they went to the anti-aging show.
Lolz @ Matt

WATCH OUT FOR THE LADDER! OH! THERE'S A LADDER THERE, WATCH OUT! BE CAREFUL OF THE LADDER!!!

(New photos!!! http://www.flickr.com/photos/hellonippon/sets/72157600983472908/)

Well, this morning started out great - I was busy talking to Phoebe and we missed the exit onto the highway XD
Silly Anje. So I did a u-turn on CR-44 because luckily, there were no cars.

Got there, got dressed, went to Tenant farm. Libby was cooking today, and John was in the barn. No Derek :(
Started out by helping Libby prepare for dinner - peeling cucumbers and carrots, etc. Made some of those vinegar & sugar cucumbers again! Amanda came and she helped out as well with the chicken.

We had Sunday school at 11:15, so we left early to get our hoops on. The YIPs had their stagecoach ride, so we started a little later. We didn't do much, just sang and studied catechisms and books of the new testament. Miss Perry is always fun, though.

After Sunday school, I went back to the Quiet House, changed out of my hoop (with Amanda), and then me and Amanda walked back to the Tenant farm for dinner, stopping at the bakery for the bread on the way.

Dinner was delicious, and I didn't over-eat this time! We had chicken, potatoes and onions, carrots and turnips, cucumbers in vinegar with onions, and fresh bread. Yum. P

Phoebe was giving her presentation at 12:35, so Amanda and I had to leave before dessert. Phoebe's presentation was good; I learned a lot about aprons, actually. When that was done, Amanda and I walked back to Tenant farm.

At 2:00 was the church service at Christ Church, so I left early to pick up Phoebe and get my hoop on AGAIN. Church was boring and long and stifling hot as usual. Glad that's over at least. When church was over, Phoebe and I walked back to the Quiet House, where we changed out of our hoops AGAIN!!! (so much changing and walking!)

Then we walked to the Dressmaker and I went on my way to Tenant farm. I helped Amanda and Libby make a pastry dough for the chicken pie we made with dinner's leftovers. I had just enough time to clean up a bit before I had to go to help set up for the Sunday school picnic. I also stopped at Loucks to inform Forrest that the piglets were in our cow pen. Crazy pigs ran all the way down to Tenant farm!

Phoebe and I went to the Shoemaker's to borrow a table to set the cookies and lemonade on. Everyone started to arrive after that, and we sat outside, waiting for Nancy. Finally she came, and then we went inside the church to do the play. I wasn't in the play, so I just watched. It was called Has Father Been Here and it was like 2 minutes long. :P

When the play was over, we went back outside to play games! We had sack races and egg and spoon races and two relays. Then we played tug o' war. My team one! We one the first tug, lost the second, and one the last. After we were all tired out, we gathered around the table to eat cookies and drink lemonade. Phoebe and I served the lemonade. Sooo nice and refreshing.

Then it was time to change and go home!

(Phoebe and I got home and were informed that we were going over to Thomas's for supper. We had steak, potatoes, and beans. It was good. Then we went out and rented 300, which was....Interesting. SPAAARTAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!)

Last night mum and I went driving!
And I survived :D

We drove around the Oxford Mills area/random country searching for lilacs we could steal.
We finally found some on a dirt road and now they're in the kitchen and in my room :)))

Um, yep, and that's about it!

(Oh, I also watched Love Actually for the first time and it was good :) )

I just finished watching the movie My Sassy Girl.
Which is a Korean romantic comedy, for those who don't know.
And OMG I LOVED IT. It was soooo funny/cute/sad. I laughed, I cried, etc.
It was really well played, plus it was majorly cute.
Totally makes me feel like I can still be with someone after break-ups and 3 years of seperation...

Anyway, I think I really enjoyed it because for once I had no idea what would happen next. It was all totally unexpected. Like, I mean I knew they would end up together, but not like that o__o;

As much as I complain about St. Mike's, sometimes I can't help but love it.

This morning, as I was standing at Alisha's locker, Phil came through the doors with a FUCKING ACCORDION. And proceeded to play it. Loudly. And jubilantly. He continued playing it through the hallway and then brought it to ART CLASS. And continued to play during class.

THEN HE BROUGHT THE ACCORDION TO PHILOSOPHY CLASS!!!!
And played there too. And Mr. Evans gave him bonus points (WTF).

Anyway, it was crazy. He was playing everything from Mario theme music to Phantom of the Opera to Polka.

Also, I've been watching Tipping the Velvet, which is possibly the funniest miniseries I've seen in a while. It's pretty smutty and stuff, but HILARIOUS. I LOVE the ending song that just randomly tunes in at the most awkward moments.
So now I'm going to go finish the last episode!!

So I've been watching the Showtime presentation of The Tudors, and so far I reeeeaally like it. I especially like the opening credits (Okay, I'm just a sucker for opening credits/songs in general). I really like how Jonathan Rhys Myers portrays Henry. Of course, I don't know much about English history, nevermind the Tudors.
But anyway, I am enjoying it. I am currently on Episode 3.

Sleepover was fun :)

Kaitlyn's grandpa picked us up from school, we stopped to get pizza in Spencerville, and then went to her house. Which is a very nice house, I might add, with a HUGE kitchen *dies* @__@;
We spent most of Wednesday lounging around in the basement, eating and watching things like So You Think You Can Dance and American Idol (OMG PEANUTBUTTER JELLY TIME!) and SYLVIA BROWN!!! XDDD
And then we watched Ice Age 2, John Tucker Must Die, and part of the Lion King. By that time we were asleep (At like 2am) and I kept wanting to sing along to the music from the movie, so I turned it off and went to sleep XD But then the stupid kittens kept meowing and got themselves stuck upstairs, so I had to deal with that. XD And then I woke everyone up at 8:30am.
Thursday, we watched the Lion King again and then went on the computer and watched funny videos. Then we were making lunch (At 4pm XD) and my Mum came and picked me up.
T'was fun, though.

And I really like Arielle Kebbel's hair when she plays Carrie on John Tucker Must Die. I'd love to get my hair cut like that when it grows out a little more, but it might not work because my hair is SO DAMN THICK! DDD:
I hate my stupid thick hair. It's so annoying :/

At home, we had Claude over for supper. Claude is Mum's coworker and the guy who has the cabin in Colorado. He is cool because he was born in Algeria and is French and has travelled to cool places like Israel and India, but he freaks me the hell out. O___O
Seriously. I just get this feeling. He kept being creepy and saying things like, "So, what does a 16-year-old girl think about?" and then he was calling me "Sweetie" and "My dear" all the time. .__.
So I "went to bed" XD
I was so creeped out. (But actually I just went upstairs and played on the internets until he left)

So yeah, I'm not going to Colorado/New Mexico/Wherever with him. Firstly, because he is old, and it would be kind of awkward to hang around with like 50-year-olds. Secondly, because he creeps me out MAJORLY. Thirdly because it seems I was not invited anyway! D:

OH! And the math exam was actually not that bad! O_O
I think I did pretty well. I only had a few problems and I knew everything else. I feel really good about it, especially since I was finished before 10. Good, good!

Soooooo. Today.

Went to Japanese. Was alright. I survived "group activity" today.
Kanji is haaaard D:
WTF I am neeever going to memorize them...Okay, well I know tree. XD
And person...Aaand yeah. Maybe water.

Anyway.

Then Mum and I went and looked around Pier 1, 'cause we still need a light for the kitchen. We didn't find any lights, but we got yummy smelling candles (mmmm, cassis! it's like holland again!) and I got ramakins because, um. I felt like we needed them XD

Then home, and studying for exaaams!
I spent today studying for APS, because there is a LOT I need to know o_o

I feel pretty good abouts exams in general, though. At NDCL I didn't study at all, and I passed everything.
So, I should do alright. And even if I fail math, I can always re-take the course and get a better grade.
But I heard data management is easy (math course for next year) and it's also a 12U course, and I need 6 of those for univeristy @_@
Good thing I'm taking that 12U philosophy course, I guess.

Sooo, that's about it! :3

Oh! Mum and I watched the movie Elvis Has Left the Building. OMG.

(He's staring at Tom Hanks. WHO HAS A FREAKING MAIL BOX ON HIS HEAD.)

BEST MOVIE EVER.
I LOVE Tom Hanks in that movie! XD Best part ever.
Also, the guy who played Elvis really bore a striking resemblance :O

No exam today :)
This is good, I have had a nice, relaxing day at home.
...And done practically no studying XD
I could probably pass a foods exam now, though :DD
Not like that counts for anything.

BUT. ANYWAY.

I got up and watched everyone else get on the schoolbus. That was amusing. Then I took the dog out for a walk and holy crap it is cooold out there!
Plus I couldn't figure out the stupid heating system that Mum has set up so I froze all day. Because there is normally nobody home during the day, so she has it set up that the heat turns off o__o
Omg so cold.
It was like 50 degrees.

Umm, then I watched Pom Poko AKA Heisei Tanuki Gassen Ponpoko.
Ahh, so sad! Cutting down forests is bad!

But I couldn't decide if I was disturbed by the frequent mentions of tanuki genitalia (especially when they attacked the humans with...their balls. Yes, their balls o_o), if I was sad that the tanuki lost their home, or if I was happy that they ended up alright after all and simply adapted XD
So it was good. Really good. I would've burned it but there was this random part in the middle of the movie where the person who ripped the dvd or whatever was like "RIPPED BY SOANDSO" and ruined the whole movie XD
And now I have the tanuki song thing stuck in my head.

Ah, and then I had math tutoring. We did um...stuff. XD
It was good, though, I understand things a lot better the second time around.
See, I'm actually pretty good at math, it just takes me like 3 times to remember things.
Seriously, took me like 3 years to learn multiplication...I still don't know division. I blame the fact that I missed the division chapter in 3rd grade. XD

And now I'm baking Banana Nut muffins. Yum :3

ZOMG.

I just finished watching Episode 1 of Into The West AKA one of the most amazing miniseries. I like it. A lot :)
I also love how Loved By The Buffalo was in a Disney Channel movie. Rock on, kid.
AND OMG ALAN TUDYK. LOVE LOVE.
And also, Jacob is a wimp XD I love when he's all emo and OMGWE'REGONNADIEICAN'TDIELIKETHISGODDAMNYOUJEDEDIAHSMITHIWANTMYMOMMY.

Anyway, it rocks :3

ALSO ALSO!
I finished Neverwhere todaaay!
Besides the crappy hairstyles/quality it was alright. I wasn't really too enthusiastic about it at first, but then it got better and I just had to see how it turned out XD
Although I had my suspicians about Islington from the start.

I just finished watching Howl's Moving Castle.
And I liked it, a lot :) Better than Spirited Away, I think.
Maybe I was just attracted by the historical aspect. I liked how everything was all early 20th century but then there were glider planes and Howl's castle, and everything. It was neat :)
And I liked the characters a lot and how at the end Sophie's hair doesn't change back. And that Howl likes that.
It was cute :3

Also, Mum's looking for cottage place-thingers to rent for next year.
Since I'll be going to Japan (Or Mongolia. Haven't decided yet.) in March, that means I'll spend the first semester in school and then have 2 months before I leave. So Mum wants to find a cottage-style place to rent in a place thats warm for like, a month.
I think she's a little angry that Oma won't let us go to New Orleans/Tennessee at Christmas. XD

[EDIT] - Also, the doorbell just rang and nobody was there. o____o
I guess Ghostie wanted in?
