Today was a good day!

Took a test on Aboriginal Spirituality in Religion today. I think I did pretty well. Not 100% like last time. Maybe...90%?

At lunch, Tanicia and Alisha brought me dounuts and a cake for my birthday :)
Cake was soo good, and we made ourselves sick XD
We barely touched the donuts, and I ended up giving 2 of them away.

So that was fun.

Oh, and on the cake, Alisha got the lady to write "My Personal Pengiun" XDDDD
OMG. Best Cake Ever.

(Ignore our plateless eating there XD just went at the thing with forks)

Aaand, Alisha got me this adorable stuffed penguin to go with the cake. Hehe.

Philosophy rocked 'cause all we did was watch The 5 People You'll Meet In Heaven. No notes! Oh, glorious day!

And i left art early for the doctor's.
I went to get a check-up for my ASSE medical form and I ended up getting a shot! D:
My arm is a little sore now.

On the way back, I stopped at work to see if I could switch my Tuesday work to next Saturday, so I have the whole week free to go down to Guelph and visit Amy and Peebs. Yay!
AND I GOT PAID. MY FIRST PAYCHECK EVER!!!!!!!! o_o
(Haha, Blair= <3. "Yeah, we realised we should've paid you the first week you started. So, um, here's your money." XD)

And I have High School Musical again tonight. Thomas won't be selling pictures with me because he's "sick". :/

So originally I was thinking I wanted to get a PDA for Japan, so that I could email pictures and stuff.
That was, until this morning.

Dude. The iPhone is a wonderous thing. It's sooo cool! >_<

I've been squeeing all morning.

I'm definitely getting one, because it has everything I need.
Phone, camera, wireless internet, music, video...
And maps. Oh, the wonders of Google maps. That is going to be soo helpful for me who gets lost all the time. XD

Anyway, I'm not going to buy one right away when they come out. Because they're like $499.
I'll wait until closer to my departure date, 'cause I'm hoping they'll be cheaper by then.

Anyway. Work yesterday was tiringgggg!
I was so dead when I got home xP
Blair doesn't give us breaks because he's a loser :/
Aaand I have 4 hours of work again today.
But I feel better because everyday I work I am able to help more and more customers find stuff :)

Also, Thomas applied to work there o__o
Umm...

JOB!
I HAVE JOB.

...

I HAVE JOB!

So I got a call from Blair at the hardware store today...And I went there and he kind of semi-interviewed me and just told me about the job...AND I NOW HAVE A JOB OMGWHAT?! :O
I am getting paid minimum wage and I am starting out working Saturdays 1:00-5:30, Sundays 11:00-3:00, and Tuesdays 3:30-5:30.
Once I have no more Japanese and no more school I'll work more.

HEEEE~~~ :DDDDD

Not so yay, the Rotary guy told me I can't go on an exchange if I'm in Grade 11? :/
....Excuse me?
I emailed back for clarification. 'Cause that just seems weird.

ARR!
So we did our Piratism presentation today.
Only JUSTIN KEPT LAUGHING and then I couldn't stop. And everyone was generally laughing at us.
But that's alright, because CHRIS SCOTT DID THE 80S. NO JOKE. SYLVESTER STYLONE WAS THEIR GOD. So. Funny.
And then another group had a religion called "Dancisim", where their God was Elvis and every year they gathered at Graceland for 24 hours of dancing on Elvis' birthday. That's my kind of religion XD
So that was a funny class.

Nothing much else exciting happened in any other classes....

Went to chiropractor, shopping, post office, pet store, dollar store, and beer store with Mum this afternoon. That was exciting XD
Now I have lots of yummy foods :)

Still nothing from ASSE. Or Mary Jane on the hardware store job.
I did put in a profile at youngcanadaworks.ca, though. Which sounds kinda neat.

Holding true to my usual luck cycle, I may have a job at the hardware store!
It would be really nice that at least I get a job for having no more dog. Which probably sounds cynical, but that's just how my luck seems to go. Bad luck, good luck, bad luck, good luck...

Anyway, apparently Blair (Mary Jane's fiance) thought I was good, but they really need someone for Saturday mornings. So I wrote an email explaining that I would only be busy on Saturdays until May 26th and that its because I'm taking Japanese. Crossing fingers again for luck!

Last night, Mum, Steve (the guy mum went to Ottawa for a while back. how i know him is sort of long and complicated.), and I went out to supper at The Branch, the restaurant that used to be Amanda's Slip. It's actually kind of neat, because it was called Amanda's Slip for the ship yard that used to be there and now it's called the Branch because that is what Kemptville used to be called. Way back when.
Anyway, I ordered "meat on a stick", which was beef (on a stick) with Korean BBQ sauce, a fried udon cake-thing, and some asian pickles. Which were gross, but I don't like pickles anyway.
And I got rootbeer which was really neat, because it was clear. Like sprite or something. It was really strange, but tasted just like rootbeer!
And I also tried a mushroom and tofu for the first time!
And this crazy apple pie that had sharp cheddar cheese and waaayy too much ginger in it. I couldn't even finish it.

So that was fun!

Today was the first day of the 2nd semester.

It wasn't so great.

I had World Religions first, which is not so bad, because Alisha and Kaitlyn are in the class with me. But we had to do these mini presentation things and we got assigned Christianity. Which sucks, because I'd looove to do Aboriginal Spirituality or Buddhism.

Second period was English. Which also isn't so bad, but I don't know anybody in the class. And its kind of awkward because they all know each other. Also, I already read Macbeth and I already know how to write an essay! I have been writing essays since 8th grade, people!

After lunch was Philosophy, which is a grade 12 course. Again, I knew noone at all. Reeeaaallly awkward, especially since we had to find a homework buddy. AND OMG MRS DAVIS IS CRAZY. We got an inch of handouts today. Not even joking. And then we had to pull out the staples and hole punch all those papers. Holy crap.

Art was alright because Alisha has art with me. But the teacher is insane. And we're doing some stupid architecture project where we have to build three townhouses. But we have limitations and measurements and stuff that we have to follow...Since when was this math class?!!?
Plus the project has nothing to do with any of the units...at all.
Also, they had to mix the grade 12s with the grade 11s, because there wasn't enough for a whole grade 12 class, and its not working out very well, because they are different courses!
And some people don't have the pre-reqs for grade 11 art...And we're having a quiz on the pre-req stuff. That's great.

And to top it all off, the job interview sucked. Because it was just as Tanicia said. It wasn't an interview. It was training. And we're supposed to go in again a few more times to 'train". Which is illegal. So...I'm not so much liking this illegal thing going on. Plus the place seemed kind of sketchy.
So I'm not working there. I may need a job, but I really don't feel comfortable. I'm sure if I just keep giving out resumes I can find something. Plus there will be more jobs in the summer.
So I'm not going back to illegal training tomorrow XD

Also. IT WAS FREAKING -40 TODAY. HOLY SHIT. SO COLD.

Oh, and the one sort of good thing: I finally got the ASSE brochure. Of course, it was a crappy brochure and told me everything that was already on the website.

Exam 2: Completed :)
APS was pretty good. I totally owned the multiple choice and matching sections. Well, I got a little rusty near the end, because I didn't study chapter 10 at all XD
But then Mr. B was like, "Uh, *coughcough*, just ignore the fact that the handout has the answers for section four on it." XDDD
The handout was for the second part, 'cause we just had to answer some questions.
I think I did well!
But it took me almost two hours to complete the exam o___o
Loooong. 16 pages.

TOMORROW IS MATH AHHHHH!!!!
I am so nervous o___o
My passing this course depends on the exam.

I have my last tutoring session this afternoon.
Then I shall study like mad so that I might get a 60% on the exam o.o

Then, after the exam tomorrow, I am going over to Kaitlyn's. We're seeing a movie o_o?
And then I'm staying overnight.
So I shall return Thursday afternoon.

...Should be interesting.

OH! And I gave the guy at Gabriel's Pizza my resume today. Here's to hoping someone will hire me~!

Hi Anje I spoke with Mike the owner of the No Frills in Grand Bend,
e-mailed him your resume and put in good word for you.

He will be looking at starting his hiring for the summer in March.

He will arrange to contact you for an interview in March (part of the
hiring process nothing to worry about)

I will also drop him off a hard copy of your resume when I am in Grand
Bend next and speak with him in person.

Once he calls you let me know and I will give you a little coaching

No guarantees but he will see what he can do.

Have a great day.

Joe

I love my Uncle, I love my Uncle, la di da di daaa~!

EDIT: ALSO! I HAVE FINNER FOR ENGLISH! YES! I am sooo happy I have Mr. Finner. I have heard so many awesome things about him, plus he's nice, plus he was one of the coaches that got the senoir girls' team to the OFSAAs...And won. So yeah, he's pretty sweet. Umm, and I have Mrs. McIntyre for Religion...? Whoever that is XD Noone seems to know. And I have religion and art with Alicia, so I get to start and end my day with her :3
Overall, I am sooo psyched for next semester. I am aiming for like a 90 average. Hopefully Philosophy won't be crazy hard, because I would not expect that at all. Like, sure maybe a little hard, but nothing I can't handle. I hope. I need goos grades for ASSE. Speaking of, I am getting crazy with not getting a response from them, but then Mum points out that it's the Canadian postal system we're dealing with here...So yeah, that makes me feel better XD

I just submit an application to Garden of Eat'n.

Pray I get this job! >_>

I also have to call back the babysitting lady, wait to hear from Shoppers Drug Mart about hiring, and submit applications to Quiznos and the new pizza place.

If I don't manage to get a job from any of those then I will consider myself doomed.
