Soooooo. Today.

Went to Japanese. Was alright. I survived "group activity" today.
Kanji is haaaard D:
WTF I am neeever going to memorize them...Okay, well I know tree. XD
And person...Aaand yeah. Maybe water.

Anyway.

Then Mum and I went and looked around Pier 1, 'cause we still need a light for the kitchen. We didn't find any lights, but we got yummy smelling candles (mmmm, cassis! it's like holland again!) and I got ramakins because, um. I felt like we needed them XD

Then home, and studying for exaaams!
I spent today studying for APS, because there is a LOT I need to know o_o

I feel pretty good abouts exams in general, though. At NDCL I didn't study at all, and I passed everything.
So, I should do alright. And even if I fail math, I can always re-take the course and get a better grade.
But I heard data management is easy (math course for next year) and it's also a 12U course, and I need 6 of those for univeristy @_@
Good thing I'm taking that 12U philosophy course, I guess.

Sooo, that's about it! :3

Oh! Mum and I watched the movie Elvis Has Left the Building. OMG.

(He's staring at Tom Hanks. WHO HAS A FREAKING MAIL BOX ON HIS HEAD.)

BEST MOVIE EVER.
I LOVE Tom Hanks in that movie! XD Best part ever.
Also, the guy who played Elvis really bore a striking resemblance :O

Guess what I made today!! :D
Here's a hint:

I MADE MY OWN BUTTER! :) It took forever and my arms are killing me, but it's aaaalll mine. Yay :)
I wanted to colour it pink with food colouring, to make it cute, but Mum wouldn't let me because she said it was weird and gross XDD~

Also, I got new shoes today! Turns out that St. Laurent Centre was having a huge sidwalk sale today, so I got this super-cute pair of shoes to wear with my kilt at school. Now I can wear uniform shoes and not break my neck!
Lookit!

And um, school, right!
Today started second semester, so a lot of people weren't there and we got one new person. I couldn't tell if it was a girl or a guy until he was introduced as Sebastian o_o
Right. Well. We started on Kanji today. That was fun, I guess.
And we also did stuff with prepositions, because we all suck at those.
And ummm...We did a lot of conversation and learned a lot of new vocab. Oh! And we also did adjectives.
Fun, fun.

Boo at Japanese school D:
I so did not want to get up at 7:30 this morning >_>
Although school was pretty fun today :3

Especially when Laura-twin couldn't figure out how to say what time it was...Four times XDD

And then when Asami-Sensei picked up this random board and on the back it said "NO WHINING"
XDDD

I love all the random things we find in that classroom.

Also, just for future reference for me:
Pg. 92 Exercise I
Pg. 93 Exercise III, IV
Journal

Umm, then went shopping for body mist, since I LEFT MINE AT PHOEBE'S >_>
Now I have yummy Passion fruit/Kiwi!
And new lip chap, because I LOST IT SOMEHOW GOING FROM HOME TO JAPANESE QII.
Now I have Curious George lip chap that is banana flavoured and all sorts of yummy.

And then we went around trying to find a cable to connect mum's laptop to the TV for better movie viewing, but alas, no such luck. All sold out, darn you Best Buy >:O

So then we looked at the pretty computers.

And then home, where I watched The Gods Must Be Crazy 2. Which I liked more than the first one, actually. I thought it was funnier, I love the random Cuban guy XDD
Although the Awkward Guy Who Messes Everything Up With The Hot Woman was better in the first one.

Tomorrow is the last day of vacation...I wonder if I should start on that APS project yet XDDD

EDIT - OMG HOW COULD I FORGET?
In a moment of bad luck, I broke one of the big glasses while washing it after supper. And I cut two of my fingers XD
It was rather funny, actually, I couldn't stop laughing.
But the blood wouldn't stop running (QII fingers?) so I made this enormous bandage thinger. We should've bought band-aids at Shoppers today.
Anyway, that was my daily excitement.
(That's also the 2nd of those glasses I've broken so far XDD)

Woke up feeling quite ill this morning. Bleg. Stupid cold weather going and making me sick. It feels like there is some sort of hairy animal living inside my throat. It's pretty awesome /sarcasm.

Toooday we learned...Lots of vocab. Actually, that's pretty much all we learned. A billion different types of food and then some general sentences that are used for stores. Then we watched a movie. Oh yes, it was awesome.
The movie was all in Japanese, so we didn't know what was being said, but it was about some guy doing a homestay in Japan. It was hilarious, the guy was such an idiot XD It was funny when he couldn't figure out the chopsticks and just sat there poking his food repeatedly, while the father snerked at him from across the table. And then there was the part where he failed at judo. And did an 'Arkell' (just sort of grunted in response) to the grandmother. And failed at fishing. It was amazing :D
Then we learned some more katakana and worked on our skits. OMG. Our skit rocks, pretty much. We are having a petstore (Randy is the shopkeep) and everyone takes turns coming in and asking for a cat, and Randy sells cats at increasing prices. Then the last person (Gabe) asks for a cat, but there aren't any, so Randy brings out a monkey instead. Gabe says, "No, that's not a cat," and then IT ENDS. RIGHT THERE. And we say "Stay tuned for next week!" XDDD
I basically love my group <3

Umm, and then I came home and schlepped around the house all day because being sick makes me feel like poop on a stick. Yay.

Ha. Today's Word of the Day was awesome. (machination: a crafty scheme intended to accomplish some usually evil end.)

Um, dragged myself out of bed early this morning, so I could finish my Japanese homework, which I messed up on twice and only got an OK on XD

We learned stuff like counting people and counting from "100 to...a lot" XD
And we learned how to say years and big numbers and then learned 10 Katakana. Yay! And some words in Katakana. I liked Kuritsumasu. XD And Aisukurimu.

Then Mum took me hairband shopping, so that my hair shall never be boyish again ^o^
I got a pretty one thats red with a beige/blue flowery pattern and ties in the back, a baby blue one with big polka dots, a beige and brown houndstooth, and a soft multi-coloured one :)
Yay.

We were going to go see The Covenant, but then I was too lazy and decided it probably wasn't that great anyway. Or at least I hope it wasn't, otherwise I fail.

Japanese class seemed longer than usual today, but that was alright because today was an I Like Japanese Class and Learning About Japanese type of day.

We started chapter five AKA days of the week and months etc etc. So now I can say my birthday AND write it in Kanji, because sensei is cool like that and teaches us Kanji and then says, BUT DON'T USE IT OKAY USE HIRAGANA!
XD

Also! I am not the oldest in the class! I discovered this today and it makes me feel much better. Also, Ken-kun is sooo cute! He's in grade 4 XD And is really funny. "I wake up a 5 am. Sometimes 4. Yesterday I woke up at 2 am." XD Me and Katrina were like...Oookay then, whatever you say. (We had to make a paragraph about someone in the group)

And then Ryan and Gab totally butchered their paragraph and it made no sense at all and even sensei was laughing. It was amazing. They will never live it down. Ever.

Came home and called to set up a haircut appointment! Yay! It's on Tuesday, after school. I don't get what's up with hair salons here. There are seriously 7 in Kemptville, which has a population of around 5,000. Are people getting their hair cut every day or what? Because every salon is ALWAYS BUSY. QII. Makes no sense.
Anyway, I'm getting it cut. I'll see what the stylist thinks of getting something short (as in like ear length short) and how it would work with my hair. If I don't do that, then I'll just get layers and some different bangs. Yay :)

Now I am baking rum cake (finally) because we got eggs today. And Mum is putting up Christmas lights, I think, she started saying something but the electric mixer was going, so I have no idea XD

Had Japanese class this morning.
Did not want to wake up.
So tired. Ugh.

But in the end I managed to drag myself out of bed and was awake by the time we got to Ottawa.

Class was alright; half of it was gone because they were all busy cosplaying at the con. Whatever it's called. Anime Cubed, I think. Yeah, so.
Learned some grammar stuff, then some more hiragana and some easy kanji and then worked on the evil song thing again. And it's about flowers.

Umm, stopped at school for the craft fair on the way home. Was pretty much a lot of crap, but I got some good food samples :D And QII is up with clip-on earrings?! I want real ones, damnit!

Slerged around for the rest of the day, then Mum made me go to the Santa Claus parade.
It was freezing cold out and I still can't feel my hands and the parade was exactly like Canada Day except less Shriners and more random trucks and stupider.
Seriously, it was a pathetic parade.

And then they lit this tree in the little patch of grass that is called a park and the tree is like the size of Mum.

Merry Christmas.

Went to Japanese class and had no idea what Asami Sensei was talking about, due to not being in class last week. Yay.
Then we went around and sung the Tsukurimasho song to all the adult classes and got lots of candy. Seriously. Like 6 handfuls.

So, yeah. That's about it.

Mum & Opa are out taking Le Grande Tour De Kemptville.
Woo.

Rented some movies from Family World Video.
I forget them all, but we got 7 XD.

I'm kind of feeling odd, so I think I'll go attempt to make a grilled cheese.

um.
Oh my.

For Japanese class next week, I have to memorise the lyrics from an Azumanga Daioh song.
Ohh my.

And yes, it's the Chiyo-Chan no Tsukurimasho one.

Also, we're supposed to dress up? o_o
Erm.
I'm still trying to decide if I should or not, because I bet they'll all be cosplaying or something and either way I'll look like an idiot.

Not that I have anything against cosplaying, but these kiddies are soo aggrivating sometimes with their OMGANIME!1111 attitude.

Yeeaaahh.

[EDIT] - OMG I JUST BAKED A PERFECT CAKE.
Okay, except for the part where I put the batter-y beaters into the eggwhites and beat them for like 15 minutes without anything happening and when I tried to colour the cake purple and it turned greyish, but it IS STILL A PERFECT CAKE. HA!
Now I hope the other half turns out perfect too. Then I will ice it with PINK ICING.

ALL OF WHICH I MADE BY MYSELF. NO BOXES! I am going to brag and brag about this. I am so proud. Lets just hope I can ice it without incident.
Yay~

^Quote from Japanese class XD

We had a seating chart today, and I ended up sitting beside one of the newer peoples. She only started last weekend, which was when I wasn't there, so that was good. I got notes from her. Her name is Gabriela, and I think she may be my age. Anyway, I like her :)
We basically reviewed last class (Using vocab like notebook, pen, watch...), learned family members, learned more hirigana, and played around with kanji, which was fun.
Japanese is actually a really easy language to learn, gramatically. The only hard thing is memorising all the hirigana, katakana, and kanji. Otherwise, I am finding it sooo easy. With practically no verb tenses, no genders it's awesome! :D

After Japanese Mum and I looked around the mall for shoes. I found some nice flats, but they were like 50$ and I was not going to get a pair of flimsy shoes for that much. We also went to Bluenotes and I bought an awesome winter jacket! *Hugs jacket* It's reaaaally nice.

Then we went to a strip mall on Bank Street and looked in Globo for shoes, and still did not find and good ones. Then we went to Winners and still no shoes. Got some yummy smelling shampoo though XD. THEN we went to Walmart, because Mum needed stuff and we ended up getting a bunch of things. THEN THEN we went to Value Village to look for stuff for my flapper costume. I found an AWESOME dress for it and I also got a red and black boa and black feathery gloves. This costume rocks. I still need to get some good shoes to wear and I want to get/make a headband thinger.

So we ended up basically spending the whole day in Ottawa shopping and we finally got home at like 5:30 XD

Tomorrow is the reptile show at the college and I AM SO GOING. YAY SNAKES!

OMG! I can't believe I forgot about Leaf Boy last night! Ah! That's what happens when I write LJ entries late at night when my brain goes dead.
Anyway, this kid came up (Who's name is apparently Christopher) and asked if he could buy half a flower for 1$. Flowers are 2$ each. I told him no, but that I'd sell him some ferns, so he actually agreed to that o__o I sold him 2 fern leaves and then the one girl, Carly, did this amazingly bad wrapping job on them XD! Then, after the show, I notice Thomas has the ferns and I was all like, "OMG YOU GOT THE FERNS!!! AHAHAHA!" and we were all laughing about it :P

So, Japanese.

It was actually pretty good :)
Except for the part where I was late because there was construction and traffic everywhere.
We basically learned greetings and introductions, apologies (APOLOGY JUICEEE!) - hello, my name is..., good morning, goodbye, i'm leaving, i'm sorry, excuse me etc.
Then we learned the numbers and how to ask someone what their phone number is, aka most amusing sentence ever: Anatano denwa bango wa naban desuka?
XD Okay, I'm probably retarded but that sentence amuses me way too much.
Best part of class: When we had to do skits and two of the guys did one where the one guy was in the corner yelling, "TASUKETE! TASUKETEEEE!" (Help! Helppp!) and the other guy came and saved him from the Evil Chair of Doom and then the first guy said, "Arigato, Roboto-san!" XD!
Then we learned about the basics of the alphabet and how to write the vowels in hiragana + basic words in hiragana (Love, above, blue, no).
Was good :)

On the way home, Mum and I stopped at fabricland, where I got some fabic and stuff to remake this rice bag we have. I think it'll turn out nice, but I shall post pictures when I finish it :D I got buttons with anchors on them XD

So that's about it for today :) I am hoping that we can go to UCV tomorrow for the fall fair, but that's only if Mum finishes her work.

Woo!
Okay! I am officially a student at the Ottawa Japanese Language School! Rock! :D
My teacher's name is Yuri. Mum can't pronounce her teacher's name xD Something with an "S".
Anyway, I hope there are more people my age in the class, besides the little 13-year-old who's favourite anime is FMA. Pfft. At least I want to learn Japanese for a good reason other than anime.
Whatever :P

Mum and I walked around the mall for a while and then drove home. We basically spent the whole drive home talking about famous killers and stuff! :D Mum think's I'm morbid because I find that stuff interesting. I loved the story about the guy in B.C. who fed people to his pigs. Either that or buried them in the pig barn, but feeding people to pigs is much more interesting.

Sooo. Maybe I'll look into forensics and stuff?
