Today was a good day!

Took a test on Aboriginal Spirituality in Religion today. I think I did pretty well. Not 100% like last time. Maybe...90%?

At lunch, Tanicia and Alisha brought me dounuts and a cake for my birthday :)
Cake was soo good, and we made ourselves sick XD
We barely touched the donuts, and I ended up giving 2 of them away.

So that was fun.

Oh, and on the cake, Alisha got the lady to write "My Personal Pengiun" XDDDD
OMG. Best Cake Ever.

Aaand, Alisha got me this adorable stuffed penguin to go with the cake. Hehe.

Philosophy rocked 'cause all we did was watch The 5 People You'll Meet In Heaven. No notes! Oh, glorious day!

And i left art early for the doctor's.
I went to get a check-up for my ASSE medical form and I ended up getting a shot! D:
My arm is a little sore now.

On the way back, I stopped at work to see if I could switch my Tuesday work to next Saturday, so I have the whole week free to go down to Guelph and visit Amy and Peebs. Yay!
AND I GOT PAID. MY FIRST PAYCHECK EVER!!!!!!!! o_o
(Haha, Blair= <3. "Yeah, we realised we should've paid you the first week you started. So, um, here's your money." XD)



And I have High School Musical again tonight. Thomas won't be selling pictures with me because he's "sick". :/

So originally I was thinking I wanted to get a PDA for Japan, so that I could email pictures and stuff.
That was, until this morning.

Dude. The iPhone is a wonderous thing. It's sooo cool! >_<

I've been squeeing all morning.

I'm definitely getting one, because it has everything I need.
Phone, camera, wireless internet, music, video...
And maps. Oh, the wonders of Google maps. That is going to be soo helpful for me who gets lost all the time. XD

Anyway, I'm not going to buy one right away when they come out. Because they're like $499.
I'll wait until closer to my departure date, 'cause I'm hoping they'll be cheaper by then.


Anyway. Work yesterday was tiringgggg!
I was so dead when I got home xP
Blair doesn't give us breaks because he's a loser :/
Aaand I have 4 hours of work again today.
But I feel better because everyday I work I am able to help more and more customers find stuff :)

Also, Thomas applied to work there o__o

Well!
Today was quite fun.

After Japanese, Mum and I went shopping around for a new coat for me, since mine broke :/
A got a reddish-brown one with a zipper AND buttons. HA! TAKE THAT ZIPPER!
And I also got 2 nice collared shirts for work.

After thaaat we went downtown for Winterlude.
Which was cool. Actually more like freezing, with all the wind.
We were going to skate on the canal, but the line for skates was loooooong and the ice wasn't even slippery. So we just walked.
And we got some hot dogs and hot chocolate for lunch.
Then we went around to look at all the ice sculptures. They are so amazing o__o.

So after walking around and freezing Mum and I headed off to Ikea and Chapters.
We got a bunch of books, 'cause Mum needed to use up a coupon. I got Conrad's Fate (Dianna Wynne Jones) and The Queen's Fool (Philippa Gregory. She wrote The Other Boleyn Girl).

At Ikea we were shopping for a light, but came home with cutting boards, a plant, lights, another light, and cinnamon buns. XDDD

Sooo, we ended up spending like $150. Yaay! :D

So I got a call from Blair at the hardware store today...And I went there and he kind of semi-interviewed me and just told me about the job...AND I NOW HAVE A JOB OMGWHAT?! :O
I am getting paid minimum wage and I am starting out working Saturdays 1:00-5:30, Sundays 11:00-3:00, and Tuesdays 3:30-5:30.
Once I have no more Japanese and no more school I'll work more.

I emailed back for clarification. 'Cause that just seems weird.

So we got our report cards today.

Geography - 86% (Class average - 79%)
Civics - 91% (Class average - 80%)
APS - 81% (Class average - 71%)
Functions - 68% (Class average - 76%)
My Average - 80%

I am quite happy! I brought up every mark from midterms and I brought up my math mark from a 65% even though I did horribly on the culminating. And my average is now 80!
I also got mostly all Es for Learning Skills.

Also got my iFlurtz thinger today. Haha, Adam was my best match XD
And Thomas was my #10 worst match. He was everyone's worst match! Noone matches Thomas! :P
Aaand I also got Hugh Jackman as my celebrity match :D

So I had a pretty awesome day.

I love when people actually come up to me and talk without me initiating anything. It feels really good to be noticed.
Actually, it's mostly Chris Thompson noticing me. Which is nice, because a lot of people are friends with him.
Its a good feeling, y'know?

Mum and I are itching to travel, so we've been looking up warm lovelies to visit.
Mum wanted to go to Costa Rica, because she loves it there. But its a bit expensive to fly there.
I voted for Columbia, which seemed AWESOME and fairly cheap, but then Mum found a travel advisary on the internet about terrorist groups or something o_o
So then I looked up Hawaii, which was lovely cheap and I found a nice backpacker-type place to stay at for cheap, but it would cost about $3,000. That's 3K less to go towards my trip to Japan.
So FINALLY I suggested we just drive around in the states until we found someplace warm and that we should stop in Virginia to go to Colonial Williamsburg on the way! Surprisingly, Mum liked this idea, since it would be about 1/2 the price and we would have our own car.
Also, we're definately hitting up New York, New York because I've never been there, and hopefully Savannah, Georgia, if we manage to get down that far. Because Paula Deen lives there XDDD

Oh, this is all because apparently Claude's mother is ill, so he's going to France to visit her and he can't go to Colorado/Arizona.

Also, my hair has grown long enough that I can pull it into two cute little pigtails that stick up at the back. It's adorable and I love it!
Short hair is the best thing ever <3
