Today I traced my middle name, Adrian(n)a back to the 1700s.

When I'm bored I look up my name on Google. The other day I found this website, which links my family (Merkies) with a bunch of other families, namely the Commissaris family.

Cool :D

Also, we got a dog last night!!! His name is Tag and he's about 2 1/2 years old. He's pretty cute; he's a Miniature Australian Shepherd.

Well, it's been a while.
This is because
a) Mum went to Ohio and took her laptop and
b) My laptop decided that right at that moment it could no longer work and I had to bring it into the shop

Anyway, haven't been doing much. Procrastinating practicing driving, watching movies, being bored out of my mind, working, etc.
DRIVING TEST IS IN TWO DAYS!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!
My doctor was like, "It's okay, I failed three times before I got my liscence." XD

Um, mum and I were looking at going someone warm for Christmas this year (Most likely Costa Rica), and than Oma decided she wanted to come too, so mum and I have been madly researching cabinas and hotels that we can go to. But than we learned that Opa & Oma are trying to convince Aunt Saskia and Cousin Sarah to come with us too so now we have to look for a whole house to rent!
I think it would be fun, like a Family Girls Vacation. As long as we can all be civil, etc.

Mum and I also looked at volunteer vacations and there was an awesome one to Thailand that was only 500$ or so, but the plane ticket is a killer. 2000$ to fly there! Grr.

Oh, UCV is coming up soooon!!!!!!!!! This Saturday, to be exact. Excited for that. I hope they put me at Loucks Farm. I will be upset if they didn't. Nothing beats Loucks.

I guess that's about it. I'm missing some stuff, but it obviously wasn't important enough that I remember it.

Well, the past two days have been quite interesting.

Mum and I left around 10 AM yesterday and caught the train from Brockville to Toronto. We were verry annoyed upon arriving at Toronto to find out that since 9/11 they had removed all the lockers from Union Station. Which meant that we had to lug around our bags & stuff for 2 1/2 hours. We were not impressed.
Took the train from Toronto to St.Mary's, but got stopped near Kitchener because there was a trespasser on the tracks. Apparently.
FINALLY arrived at St. Mary's and took a while to track down Opa, but we finally did and he told us that the lady at the train station said that someone had thrown themselves in front of the train (There was a freight train going the other direction). Who knows.

The next day was when everyone was coming over for dinner (I like how my family never celebrates on the actual holiday), and we were all dreading for when Aunt Bridget and Uncle Joe came over. My aunt has a problem with her mouth. As in it never SHUTS UP. She's like Millie. Anyway, they came around 2 PM and then my Aunt Saskia, Uncle Joe T., and cousins Nick and Jon came over as well. I helped Mum bake a cheesecake and I made pinwheels. While I was making the pinwheels, Aunt Bridget caught me alone in the kitchen and I had to stand there and listen to her talk for 1/2 an hour about pet insurance and her cat that came home one night with half it's tail missing. Erm...

Anyway, I basically love Nick. He's amazing. And not just because he looks like Kevin Bacon. He kept talking about really odd things, even for him. Or maybe he was always that odd. He started going off about the werewolves and vampires (there was a rather heated discussion about morality and religion and Uncle Joe T. kept asking him what he believed in and he said "werewolves and vampires") and how the lycans were slaves to the vampires and one lycan fell in love with a vampire princess until Uncle Joe T. told him to shutup and that he wasn't listening anymore.

Then people left and I dragged myself off to bed with a massive migrane yay! :D

Today I woke up pretty early so Mum and I went to the last fleamarket of the year. I got some lip balm & handcream and then 2 shirts for 1$ to practice my sewing on and also The Great Gatsby. Just because. I don't even like the book, so I don't know why I bought it. I like George Wilson, though. And not just because he killed Gatsby. I swear.

Then Oma, Opa, Mum, my cousin Sarah, and I all went to the Pinery for a picnic lunch. After lunch I went and played in the lake because it was really warm out, suprisingly!

I think I'm going over to Aunt Saskia & Uncle Joe T.'s cottage for supper tonight. Apparently they bought this massive ham. Even though I hate ham. Whatever, it will be fun. But I have to write this huge APS paper now, so I'll go do that XD
