I lost track of time, but I know I've been without a power cord for at least a week.
FINALLY it came in yesterday!
Spicey is restored to me!

AND.

I'M FUCKING GOING TO JAPAN.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!
I didn't get the scholarship, but nevermind.

I'm starting the count until next March.

Ummm, went on an art trip to Ottawa yesterday. Saw Ron Mueck. He was cool.
The rest of it sucked, though. Mrs. Girard is crazy.

Also, The Importance of Being Earnest is the greatest movie/play ever.

Today was a good day!

Took a test on Aboriginal Spirituality in Religion today. I think I did pretty well. Not 100% like last time. Maybe...90%?

At lunch, Tanicia and Alisha brought me dounuts and a cake for my birthday :)
Cake was soo good, and we made ourselves sick XD
We barely touched the donuts, and I ended up giving 2 of them away.

So that was fun.

Oh, and on the cake, Alisha got the lady to write "My Personal Pengiun" XDDDD
OMG. Best Cake Ever.

(Ignore our plateless eating there XD just went at the thing with forks)

Aaand, Alisha got me this adorable stuffed penguin to go with the cake. Hehe.

Philosophy rocked 'cause all we did was watch The 5 People You'll Meet In Heaven. No notes! Oh, glorious day!

And i left art early for the doctor's.
I went to get a check-up for my ASSE medical form and I ended up getting a shot! D:
My arm is a little sore now.

On the way back, I stopped at work to see if I could switch my Tuesday work to next Saturday, so I have the whole week free to go down to Guelph and visit Amy and Peebs. Yay!
AND I GOT PAID. MY FIRST PAYCHECK EVER!!!!!!!! o_o
(Haha, Blair= <3. "Yeah, we realised we should've paid you the first week you started. So, um, here's your money." XD)

And I have High School Musical again tonight. Thomas won't be selling pictures with me because he's "sick". :/

I am: okay

The field trip today was interesting, I guess.

We had a tour of the pottery and visual art rooms and did some studio activities. We played with clay in the pottery room and then we did some gesture sketches in the visual arts room. We drawed these very flamboyant dramatic arts students XD
The one guy was really awesome, though, and he kept doing these funny poses like he was God or something, jaja XD
(Darn you Cultures Shocked, now I say jaja instead of haha)

We had lunch soooo late and everyone was going crazy because we ate lunch like 2 1/2 hours later than we normally do. I gorged myself on pizza and pop and made myself sick XD Typical.

We also had to watch this really corny slideshow.

Anyway, it was a good waste of a day.

I got my school recommendation form back from Mr. Dion today, and he filled it out with all excellents and goods XD
Yay!

Now all I need is the program deposit and to finish the host family letter in Japanese. I think its pretty much done, I just emailed it to Asami-Sensei once more for proofreading.
Yay!
I'm so excited! Mailing off the application tomorrow!!!!

Things are going pretty well!
I think I will make the deadline!

Today I gave Mrs. Gibson the school recommendation form to take care of and Madame Hartman from NDCL also sent in her letter of recommendation today. I hope that Mrs. Leach didn't do hers yet, because then I'll feel bad. Oh well, can never have too many letters of reference (I also asked Asami-Sensei and Frau Reda).

Mum printed out (Or was supposed to, at least) the photo pages and passport-sized pictures today and she also filled out the scholarship application.

Last night we did the program agreement.

What is left:
Health application (Sending later)
Program deposit (Mum's responsibility)
Get back the school recommendation form
Finish the introductory letter in Japanese (Waiting to hear back from Asami-Sensei)

So everything is pretty much under control!

I will be so relieved when I finally send it in...

In other news, our junior boys basketball team totally kicked SJHS's butt today.
64 to 20. It was just pathetic. The people sitting behind me were going crazy though, and shouting really demeaning things. I felt kind of bad (although it was funny) because I know what it's like to be the loosing team. (ROFL 8th grade soccer)

Aaand, tomorrow I'm on a field trip all day for art. Not sure what we're doing, but there's free food involved!

Ho' goodness.

My face is breaking out like crazy, I'm so stressed right now.

I have to quick!quick! get this application for ASSE in and I also need to do my course selection for next year.

I went to guidance today to see what was up with them not giving me my community service hours.

Helen wrote me a letter of recommendation, so now I only need 2. I asked Mrs. Leach, but she seemed kind of weird about it.
She said, "I don't know you very well."
And I said, "I know that, but no one knows me very well! And I really need a letter."

I would really prefer a letter from Frau or Madame, but they haven't replied to me yet. I may call Frau tonight.

I am soooo indecisive. It is one of my major flaws, to be honest.

I simply cannot decide which organisation to go on my exchange with. I really should block all websites pertaining to exchanges, because it's literally driving me crazy. I am going insane. I reeeeeaally want to leave this year. I don't think I can wait 13 months.

So I'm going to try and send in a preliminary application to Rotary, because it doesn't cost anything and Rotary is the cheapest and probably the best program out there. There are some cons, but for me most part, the pros outweigh them.

I might also see about sending in an application to AFS, because AFS-Indonesia and AFS-China leave in August, so maybe I can go this year if they don't give me Japan.

I mean, I would really love to go to Japan, but heck, I'll be happy with anywhere in Asia.

I really don't know.
I just want to leave. To go somewhere. I really need it now >_>
I know that sounds horrible.

Plus Mum wants me to go to Japan because I've spent all these months going to Japanese class. I don't think she wants me to go anywhere else.

Erg!

Hi Anje I spoke with Mike the owner of the No Frills in Grand Bend,
e-mailed him your resume and put in good word for you.

He will be looking at starting his hiring for the summer in March.

He will arrange to contact you for an interview in March (part of the
hiring process nothing to worry about)

I will also drop him off a hard copy of your resume when I am in Grand
Bend next and speak with him in person.

Once he calls you let me know and I will give you a little coaching

No guarantees but he will see what he can do.

Have a great day.

Joe

I love my Uncle, I love my Uncle, la di da di daaa~!

EDIT: ALSO! I HAVE FINNER FOR ENGLISH! YES! I am sooo happy I have Mr. Finner. I have heard so many awesome things about him, plus he's nice, plus he was one of the coaches that got the senoir girls' team to the OFSAAs...And won. So yeah, he's pretty sweet. Umm, and I have Mrs. McIntyre for Religion...? Whoever that is XD Noone seems to know. And I have religion and art with Alicia, so I get to start and end my day with her :3
Overall, I am sooo psyched for next semester. I am aiming for like a 90 average. Hopefully Philosophy won't be crazy hard, because I would not expect that at all. Like, sure maybe a little hard, but nothing I can't handle. I hope. I need goos grades for ASSE. Speaking of, I am getting crazy with not getting a response from them, but then Mum points out that it's the Canadian postal system we're dealing with here...So yeah, that makes me feel better XD
